Dear Dr. Joe Vitale,
glad you made it here ;-)
Following my intuition and taking inspired action let me present you a little thought concerning the Law of Attraction and the Law of Gravity.
And pardon me, nobody talks about it that way, neither you Joe, nor Bob Proctor, John Assaraf, Jack Canfield or anybody I ever heard. At least not in public.
Read on, but be prepared though, this will hurt.
It will hurt because of it’s simplicity and because it’s so obvious.
Joe, as you are an expert and great teacher about putting the Law of Attraction to work and have published lots of material about the “How To” this may help you to bring the point accross to sceptics. And that’s the point with this post.
For other readers:
Joe Vitale ist the author of tons of stuff about lots of topics, related to this article his book “The Attractor Factor” and his Simpleology Great Teacher Course come to mind. Or see his blog post on “How to attract anything” (Link at the bottom of this post)
There is a lot of argument going on about whether the Law of Attraction (LOA) is really a law, whether it’s observable, whether it exists at all and so on. And quite often the people that want to explain how LOA works talk about gravity to explain that the obvious is often hidden by being everywhere and that it’s there and working anyway.
Let’s kill all those endless arguments
What if we could end all those endless arguments with a new way to look at the phenomenom that uses logic – the ressource most people trust?
A little paradigm shift – shall we?
Enter the obvious.
Let’s grab the commonly accepted Law of Gravity (LOG) and reduce it to a oversimplified definition that states “Mass attracts mass.” That’s easy and the perfect definition for our first part of the thought.
if we reduce the Law of Attraction to a very simple and perhaps oversimplified definition we may end up with “Like attracts like.” There we have the second part of the thought. The two parts are hurtingly similar.
Let’s put them together
If the Law of Attraction states “Like attracts like” and the Law of Gravity states “Mass attracts mass” then the Law of Gravity simply is a sub-law of the Law of Attraction.
Or gravity is the LOA at work in the physical realm of mass.
Or gravity is an easily observable form of the Law of Attraction at work.
Uh, I can hear the sceptics cry out in agony and see them turn around and run for shelter throwing It-still-isn’t-my-fault-spears at anybody. Sorry for that picture.
Will this thought stand real definitions?
We can now go on and expand those simple definitions of the laws to more accurate ones and check how we can transfer what we tested and know from gravity to the use of the LOA.
A common accurate definition for the LOG is: “Each particle of matter attracts every other particle with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.”
Remember, our beloved matter is simply “frozen” energy. What would happen if we replace matter by energy? Let’s see.
“Each ENERGY attracts every other ENERGY with a force which is directly proportional to the product of their ENERGIES and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.”
If we use distance as a form of thinking about the different qualities of emotions or thoughts, then the distance would be maximal if two concepts are in opposition.
Example:Fear and Faith as opposed concepts
As one can only experience Fear OR Faith at a given moment, the distance between these two feelings is infinite. That means when you “celebrate” Fear you emit a lot of energy but the distance to faith is endless, therefore you attract energies that are related to fear with much power and anyTHING that is connected to faith remains where it is.
Joe and everybody, I guess this set you on fire. Check this immediatly against your most precise definition of the LOA and let me know your thoughts.
Let it flow
PS: Forget choosing, make a joyce and you will joyse wisely c]:-)
